Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Movies Calculator (https://moviescalculator.com), operated by 85CO SRL ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Movies Calculator is an informational website for estimating movie and TV watch time, browsing runtimes and filmographies, planning watchlists, and sharing optional public profiles.

The site is provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment and planning purposes. Runtime totals, streaming availability, recommendations, and calculator outputs are estimates based on third-party data and curated references. They may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate and should not be treated as professional, financial, or legal advice.

You can use the calculator and most reference pages without an account. Creating a free account unlocks cloud sync for your watchlist and profile.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age required to consent to online services in your country, you may use the site only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the site complies with applicable laws where you live.

Signed-in access uses email magic links delivered through our authentication provider. Keep your email account secure, because anyone with access to your inbox may be able to sign in.

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings. Account deletion is permanent. See our Privacy Policy for what data is removed and how active billing relationships are handled.

You agree not to:

• Use the site in any way that violates applicable law or infringes someone else's rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
• Scrape, crawl, or automate requests in a way that burdens or disrupts the site or its providers
• Upload or publish profile content that is unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or impersonates another person
• Reverse engineer, interfere with, or circumvent security or access controls except where permitted by law
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the site or its content except as expressly allowed

If you add a display name, bio, avatar, social links, or other profile information, you are responsible for that content.

You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and process it solely to operate the site — for example to show your public profile, sync your watchlist, or deliver account-related emails.

Public profiles may be visible to anyone who knows your username URL. New accounts default to public and show your full To Watch and Watched lists. Private profiles are a Pro feature; set visibility in Profile → Settings if you are on Pro.

We may remove or restrict content, disable features, or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the site or other users.

Movies Calculator Pro is an optional paid subscription for personal watchlist and profile features such as streaming availability with provider links in your watchlist, a where-to-watch queue summary, private profiles, custom accent colors, preferred watch country, and achievements.

Pro checkout and billing are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which also acts as merchant of record for tax and payment processing. Paying subscribers can manage payment methods, invoices, plan changes, and cancellation through Profile → Billing, which opens Lemon Squeezy's customer portal. Complimentary or lifetime Pro accounts keep Pro features without a billing portal.

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis unless canceled. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the current paid period unless otherwise stated at checkout.

Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable, including when you delete your account mid-billing period. If you delete your account, we cancel any active paid subscription so you are not billed again. If that cancellation fails, account deletion is paused until it succeeds or you contact support.

We may change pricing or plan features in the future. Any new paid plans will be presented clearly before you are charged.

The Movies Calculator name, branding, site design, curated content, and original text on the site are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Movie posters, metadata, and related media are provided through The Movie Database (TMDB). Streaming availability data may reference JustWatch and other providers. Those materials belong to their respective owners. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

You may link to public pages on the site and share calculator URLs. You may not copy, republish, or commercially reuse substantial portions of the site without our prior written permission, except as allowed by law.

The site relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, analytics, email, payments, movie metadata, and streaming data. Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms and policies.

The site may link to external websites such as streaming providers, social networks, or Product Hunt. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites or services.

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that runtime, recommendation, or streaming information will always be current or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the site.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

We may suspend or terminate access to the site or to an account if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the service.

You may stop using the site at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to 85CO SRL in its country of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue for disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the site, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
